Spike asked: There was one specific song that caught my attention. It was a melancholy - ethereal tune sung by a woman with an ethereal - celtic sounding voice. I think it was played during a balance beam performance.

Joe asked: If so, why? I have seen some trials and qualifiers on TV, but it doesn’t seem as grand as in past Olympics.

Brian B asked: For the other three events, two athletes from each country can qualify for the individual competition. But it seems that for vault, only one athlete from each country can qualify and they have to do two vaults during the qualification round instead of just one. Why does this event work differently than the other events?

demi4candy asked: Could someone tell me how figure skaters are chosen to go to the winter olympics? Do they have to be at a certain level, have up to a certain jump or do they just have to rank in their country?
Hopefully this question makes sense.

love♥ asked: The first one is that his Speedo outfit is making him swim faster and there’s this other ridiculous rumor that him listening to his iPod is making him faster (supposedly listening to music improves blood oxygen capacity and is a performance enhancement).
I think that these accusations of him cheating are ridiculous. Anyone can get those Speedos to race in if they wanted and anyone can listen to their iPod if they wanted. People need to just except the fact that Michael Phelps is amazing.
What do you think about those rumors? Do you think he’s cheating? And what other things have you heard about him?
